Description
The Academy: Christophe Colomb Hurricane is an impressive watch. It's 45mm rose gold case houses the hand-wound caliber 8005, which has a spectacular 'Gravity Control' device at 6, cancelling out the effects of gravity of the regulating organ by ensuring a horizontal position at all times. This movement features a spectacular constant force fusee-chain transmission connected to the barrel, which can be seen in spectacular -blue- fashion since there is no real dial fitted.
The hour ring on this model is enamel, while the smaller dials for the power reserve and small seconds are gold with hand-crafted guilloche pattern. The height listed is the 'conventional' height - it measures 22mm including the bulge.
