Based on the 856 series, and designed as a functional instrument watch in the tradition of Sinns' cockpit navigation clocks, this pilot watch also features a pilot's bezel which permits its wearer to measure or check set time intervals.
With the introduction of the Boeing 777F, Lufthansa Cargo is operating the most modern freighter in its class. The 857 UTC TESTAF LH Cargo, developed as part of a collaboration between Sinn Spezialuhren and Lufthansa Cargo, is the perfect watch for this high-performance aircraft. Because pilots need absolute reliability and the utmost precision, values which the 857 UTC TESTAF LH Cargo possesses. This instrumental watch was tested and certified in accordance with the technical standard for pilot watches (Technischer Standard Fliegeruhren C TESTAF). This ensures that it is qualified for professional use as a pilot watch to the highest level. This is evidenced with a certificate and the TESTAF quality seal on the dial. Also contained on the dial, as a symbolic expression of the symbiosis between the aeroplane and the watch, is the stylised silhouette of the Boeing 777F. With this, Sinn Spezialuhren builds on the successful collaboration with Lufthansa Cargo. In 2001, the limited-edition 144 GMT Cargo was introduced. 777 units of the 857 UTC TESTAF LH Cargo are being produced, each with an engraved limited-edition number on the case back.
