Calatrava wristwatch with miniature enamel dial.
Dial decorated with a falcon-hunting scene in miniature enamel after a painting by Georges Washington (orientalist painter C 1827-1910). The enameler works slowly over time, juxtaposing meticulous touches of enamel to create the detailed image. Between each and every delicate firing, the artist works on it again. The pattern becomes more precise with each firing (up to 15 firings for this piece) revealing colors and depth that intensify gradually. Gold Dauphine hands. Alligator strap with prong buckle. Platinum. Case diameter: 38 mm. Caliber 240. Ultra-thin self-winding movement. Sapphire crystal caseback. Limited edition (2013).
