Description
The Parmigiani Tonda 1950 PFC288-0000100-XA1442 was introduced in 2017. It features a stainless steel case paired with a white dial. Inside it Parmigiani's caliber PF702 with micro-rotor.
For the stainless steel versions of the Tonda 1950 the strap is not made by Hermes.
Movement
PF702 is similar to the PF701, though the rotor is no longer platinum but rather tungsten. It was first used in the stainless steel Tonda 1950.
At just 2.6 mm thick, the PF701 movement owes its slim profile to an off-centred micro-rotor directly integrated into the main plate. This component winds the movement, which has an autonomy of 42 hours. This calibre was developed to allow for the addition of multiple functions ?a such as a calendar or moon phase indication ?a without altering the slender proportions of the Tonda 1950 family. This serves as proof of the excellent design of the PF701 movement and its successive variations.
