Those who love Ludwig, but not winding it, are in luck: We now make this classic NOMOS watch with the self-winding Epsilon caliber, built in-house in Glashutte. A beautiful watch: a little larger (and thus a tick more modern) than the hand-wound classic, but with the same white, silver-plated dial. Underneath it, the rotor steadily works away, keeping time.
Ref. 271 is powered by the Zeta movement; ref. 251 is similar though powered by the Epsilon movement, lacking the date feature. Ref. 252 and 272 have anthracite dials.
You don't want to have to think about winding your watch? Or about changing the date? Then you'll need the Zeta caliber, the movement you can find in Tangomat Datum and Ahoi Datum?aamong others. Zeta is an automatic movement further enhanced by NOMOS' patented date mechanism. The fact that the date ring is set around the movement has made it slightly bigger, but keeps it as flat and elegant as ever. Of course, this movement provides the best winding performance and rate accuracy.
