Description
The Montblanc Methamorphosis II was introduced in 2014. Compared to the original 2010 Methamorphosis, the II has a larger case yet a more traditional appearance. A sliding mechanism at 10 allows its dial to transform its dial to show either the date or the minute counter for the chronograph at 6 o'clock over the course of 15 seconds. The mechanism allowing this tour de force was developed byJohnny Girardin and Franck Orny.

Manually wound monopusher chronograph with mechanical transformation of function and design of the watch from simple time indication to chronograph.
Chronograph with column wheel and horizontal coupling.
Balance spring with Phillips curve.
