Description
The Longines Avigation Oversize Crown is based on an aviator's watch produced by Longines in the 1920s. The bezel is marked with indices and can be turned in both directions; its fluted edge enables the pilot to manipulate it with great precision. The oversize winding stem and crown stand away from the bezel, which means that a pilot wearing gloves can turn the latter unhindered. The gold-plated, luminous, pear-shaped hands contrast well against the black dial, which features white Arabic numerals. This watch, fitted with an L615 self-winding mechanical movement, shows the hours, minutes, and date and has a small seconds at 6 o'clock. The steel case has a diameter of 41 mm. The curved horns fit snugly on the wrist. And finally, the black alligator strap echoes the black dial.
