Description
The Grand Seiko SBGH222 was introduced in 2017. It features a pink gold case of 38mm and a white dial. The 'Special' on the dial is anhomage to the GS SPECIAL, which, in the 1970s, was positioned between the V.F.A. and the mainstream Grand Seiko range. It certifies that the timepiece has passed the Grand Seiko Special standard inspection.
Movement
Self-winding 'high-beat' movement with date. Caliber 9S85 features a t made of SEIKO's proprietary alloy ?¡ãSPRON530?¡À. In addition, the balance spring is made of another recently developed highly shock resistant and anti-magnetic alloy ?¡ãSPRON610?¡À and the caliber uses a new escape wheel and pallet manufactured by MEMS. These new components contribute to its reliable and precise performance; its timekeeping precision is -3 to +5 seconds per day, a level that is confirmed in every case by testing to the very exacting Grand Seiko standard, the highest published standard in the industry.
