On one side, the 60-minutes totalizer with centre pointer guarantees peerless readability of any measurement under 1 hour. For longer durations, a single two-hand counter shows both the hours and minutes. This means the time elapsed is read off just as one reads the time, instantly and with no risk of confusion. This impressive efficiency is reinforced by a slide-rule, featuring simple and direct handling. Thanks to a toothed wheel system, this rotation drives a pinion and an arbor acting on the inner bezel. This operation may be performed with extreme accuracy in both directions. The resolutely aviation-oriented vocation of the Skyracer is also visible on the caseback, carrying a reminder of the essential symbols of the Ground Air Visual Signal Code.
